While this recipe is great with summer fruit, we’ve dusted it off this winter to see how it fared as ‘frosting.’ There are so many sweet treats pouring in around this time of year, many of them not allergen friendly either. This worked oh so well on everything from Mum-Mum’s to cupcakes! The key is not adding too much water if you want to use it as frosting, or you can add more water if you want to have it as a dip with a thinner consistency. If your kiddos want a sweet dip for apples or to decorate their Mum-Mum like an ornament, this is a healthy holiday treat you can feel good about.
- ½ cup raw cashews (soaked in water for at least an hour)
- 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Water as needed
- Mango & Kiwi Toddler Mum-Mum
- Sprinkles
Puree cashews, syrup, and vanilla in a blender or food processor, slowly add water as needed until desired consistency is reached.
